The latest free update for Left 4 Dead 2 has been released and with it a new game mode added in the Community Mutations sections of the game. Death’s Door the user created mod which put’s you out of the game if downed. That means no rescues can save you, making it even more important to stick together and help your teammates along. After playing a couple of rounds, I noticed one thing. It’s kinda hard. Especially if you playing with random matchups, between people running ahead and the one hit kills, Death’s Door is one of the harder mutations I have played recently.
What’s a community mutation? Well it’s a feature of the Left 4 Dead 2 game that allows users to create their own game modes, once created the updates are pushed through the Steam client and Xbox Live so that players can play these mutated game states. It tweaks the rules just enough to make the game still balanced yet different by adding weapons, enemies, health, items, and any of the other variables that can be changed throughout the game.
