It looks like Valve is quietly working on Left 4 Dead 3.  After a rash of rumors about the unannounced but expected game from Valve surfaced last month, we’ve got another round of speculatory content pointing to the game’s existence.

Valve recently opened its doors to tourists who were given the opportunity to snap some images of Valve’s games laboratory.  Where do these images go almost instantly, Reddit of course.   And they do, they get poked and prodded until they give up some much needed information about Valve’s future games and technology.

One image in particular was of Valve’s changelog, which lists projects that the company is currently working on.  In it, a mention of L4D3 was discovered, as well as signs of the Source Engine 2.

Unfortunately, this screengrab didn’t show any mention of the mythical Half Life 3.  Assuming that this is the real deal, it might end up that Left 4 Dead fans get their second sequel without any word on Half Life 3.  With the leap in technology coming, it would make sense for Valve’s new engine to arrive in short order.  They’re gonna need a game to show on the new technology, and it looks like Left 4 Dead 3 is definitely going to be one of those games.
