Probably the closest thing to Left 4 Dead 3 we’re gonna get.
Fans of the Left 4 Dead series have been waiting with bated breath for a third entry in the series, but considering the second game came out about a decade ago, hopes of a third game have been diminishing. However, it looks like the next best thing is on its way.
Left 4 Dead developer Turtle Rock Studios recently announced that they are working with publisher Warner Bros. Interactive on a new IP called Back 4 Blood, which will basically act as a spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead series, seeing as how a third game may never happen now that Turtle Rock is its own independent studio and no longer owned by Valve, who still own the rights to Left 4 Dead. Like its spiritual predecessor, Back 4 Blood will be zombie shooter with an emphasis on co-op play. It is its own original property, however, and it will utilize new, original mechanics that the team is not yet ready to reveal.
