Use the correct amiibo.
There have been many different enemies that Link has faced over the storied history of The Legend of Zelda, but there is no question that one of the most iconic of all is that of Dark Link. While he was not in the original The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, a form of him as made his way into the remake via the brand new Chamber Dungeons, but you’re going to need something to unlock him outside of the game. This guide will explain just how you can unlock what the game refers to as the Shadow Link Effect in the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening features amiibo support as we discussed in another guide, with that being the key to unlocking this game’s equivalent of Dark Link known Shadow Link in the game.
Speak to Dampe and choose the “amiibo” option before selecting “Get special chamber.” Putting any Legend of Zelda amiibo here will provide you with a new chamber, of course including the brand new Link’s Awakening Link amiibo.
While the other Legend of Zelda amiibo will just provide you with actual chambers, using the Link’s Awakening amiibo specifically will also unlock the Shadow Link Effect for you in your Chamber Dungeon as well. This is the only way to unlock him in the game, so you better make sure to get your new Link’s Awakening amiibo before he sells out!
