Use any Legend of Zelda amiibo.
While the Wii U may have been a big failure for Nintendo, one success that came from that era was that of amiibo, little collectible figures that were based off of different characters from Nintendo games. The number of amiibo releases have definitely tapered off in the last few years, but they are still releasing here and there. As a result, many Nintendo games feature some sort of amiibo integration and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is no different.
Those wanting to use amiibo in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will find two different uses here, one use that is a one time effect and one use that can be used longterm.
To actually use the amiibo, you will have to visit Dampe in the game, who is a new inclusion this time around. You should notice him as the gravekeeper in Ocarina of Time and this time he has been introduced as the keeper of the new Chamber Dungeons.
Once you find Dampe, you must speak to him outside and he will tell you to go to his house to the right and he will now be inside of there when you visit. Speak to him again and he’ll give you a few options, one of which is simply known as amiibo.
Once you select amiibo, you have two options to choose from, “Receive dungeon” and “Get special chamber.” The first lets you receive a dungeon stores to the amiibo, as you can use Legend of Zelda related amiibo to store chamber dungeons you save. The second provides you with special chambers to use here, though there is a limit on these that you’ll reach pretty quickly.
