Where to Find Bombs
As with most usable items in Link’s Awakening this question is sort of split into two parts. There’s the first time you get bombs, and all the other times when getting them simply refills your inventory. For this game they’re actually a lot easir to initially unlock, basically appearing randomly right out of the gate. Of course, there is a specific way the game seems to want you to earn your first bombs, which is to buy them from the Town Tool Shop in the middle of Mabe Village.
Going here right out of the gat will allow you to buy a set of 10 bombs for 10 rupees, which is pretty great. If you have the rupees and need to do some exploding then you should grab them. Killing enemies, chopping down bushes, or in shops are the three main places where you can find bombs in the game. Perform these actions over and over whenever you need them and eventually they’ll arrive, filling your inventory and allowing you to keep adventuring around Koholint Island.
