Mayhem has taken over LEGO Metropolis as the Joker and other bad guys are in control in this brand new announcement trailer for LEGO DC Super-Villains.
The next installment in the LEGO lineup of games has the villains at the forefront, with Batman’s archenemy the Joker in the lead. Other villains were shown in the trailer, including Reverse Flash, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn.
As with any LEGO game, though, you can be sure there will be a ton of playable characters to unlock throughout the course of the game’s campaign. And with DC’s long list of rogues, you can bet that everyone from Mister Freeze to Gorilla Grodd will be in there.
Storyline-wise, the Justice League has somehow disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to a group of heroes from a parallel universe, calling themselves the “Justice Syndicate.” That’s when the villains form the “Legion of Doom” to investigate.
What’s especially cool and unique to this LEGO game is that players can create their own unique villain and main character throughout the game, and allow them to team up with the villains. As the game progresses, the player character can unlock new abilities and powers.
A Deluxe Edition of the game features season pass content and early access to a TV series DLC character pack. The physical version of the Deluxe comes with a Lex Luthor Superman LEGO minifig, and digital consumers will receive the Justice League Dark DLC character pack.
LEGO DC Super-Villains will be available on October 16 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
