Treyarch has introduced another update to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 private multiplayer beta.
The level cap in the beta has been increased to 40, and a new map, Hacienda, is now available in-game.
Hacienda is the sixth map that’s playable in the Black Ops 4 beta, joining Contraband, Payload, Seaside, Frequency, and Gridlock. Players got their first taste of this map on Aug. 9 during a Treyarch livestream, which also unveiled a very unique, new game mode called Heist.
The level cap is of significant importance because any players who reach the maximum level in the beta will earn a permanent unlock token to use in multiplayer when Black Ops 4 is released on Oct. 12. Anyone who participates in the private multiplayer beta (regardless of what level you reach) will also receive a “unique, one-of-a-kind” in-game calling card.
Treyarch made a Reddit post detailing some of the changes that were made in today’s beta update, too. Most notably, movement changes have been introduced—Treyarch made “some modifications to jump mechanics to reduce bunny hopping” and “slight reductions to slide speeds and distances.”
The Black Ops 4 private multiplayer beta is live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it’s scheduled to be available on these platforms until Monday, Aug. 13 at 12pm CT.
