This appearance will mark his return to live TV following his absence of three years. The Scottish singer revealed that he has been suffering from a condition known as Tourette’s syndrome. But he told fans not to worry as it’s not as dire as it seems.
The 25-year-old singer went on to joke about his return by saying that he’s back to annoy his fans like rashes on nether regions until he gets the attention he craves. The NTA ceremony where Lewis Capaldi is set to perform will be aired on ITV from the OVO Wembley Arena.

Lewis Capaldi has disclosed his elevated mood as he’s billed to perform at the NTA a week from now. However, he’s slightly worried that the whole thing may be a ploy to grill him about his TV license.

The Grammy nominee then quipped that fans should tune in to the ceremony to avoid his song from flopping, else, he won’t be invited back. The singer went global with his hit single, Someone You Loved, which was on the top of the UK charts for seven weeks.
Capaldi has been battling the syndrome since 2018, but he seems unfettered as he makes his return with “Forget Me,” a new single.
Capaldi, The New Tourette’s Syndrome Ambassador
Before Lewis Capaldi was announced to perform at the NTA ceremony, he announced that he is Tourette’s syndrome ambassador. The singer on Wednesday took to his Instagram in an oversized white undergarment to declare his self-acclaimed ambassadorship for people living with the syndrome.
Showing off his newly gifted oversized undies from his label, Capaldi stated that after he opened up about his condition, fans became nice to him. Some of the fans stated that it’ll be nice if someone like him could be open and spread such awareness; he’ll make a great ambassador.
After his declaration, Lewis Capaldi, set to perform at the NTA, bantered that he may never have sex again if a potential date gets a glimpse of his underwear. The singer is definitely excited about his performance and craves the support of his fans. He believes they will come through to see him after his long break.
