Liam Neeson is reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn in the Disney+ animated franchise series Tales of the Jedi. There will be a younger and older versions of the show. Neeson will play the older version, and Liam’s son will play the younger version. Liam Neeson originally played Qui-Gon Jinn in the film Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. It was announced about the Disney+ animated franchise series in a tweet. Tales of the Jedi series will span many years and different shorts. It will show many different characters from the Star Wars universe, from Jedi to Ahsoka Tano to Mace Windu. Dave Filoni helped create the series and currently works on the Lucasfilm’s live-action Ahsoka series. Though Neeson is not playing the character as he did before, it’s still a comfort to fans to know he’s still in the franchise.

Unfortunately, Liam Neeson will only reprise his role (voice) for one episode of the Disney+ animated franchise series Tales of the Jedi. The Qui-Gon Jinn episode centers around him as a padawan under future Sith Count Dooku. Liam Neeson has also played Ra’s al Ghu in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises, on top of his Qui-Gon role. No one can forget his iconic monologues by his character Bryan Mills in the Taken films. The Irish actor has voiced and played many iconic characters. Liam Neeson starred in or voiced the characters in Schindler’s List, Chronicles of Narnia, and Love Actually. He now is resisting one of the franchises that have made him a Hollywood legend. Star Wars is a vast universe of characters and stories that the series Tales of the Jedi will expand on.
The Disney+ animated franchise series Ahs0ka and The Mandalorian also add to the backstory. Tales of the Jedi will premiere in the fall and stream on Disney+.
