LiB’s Cole Barnett Found The Experiment Difficult
Love Is Blind, Netflix’s social experiment with love, usually has participants interacting with prospective partners through a pod.
The show’s premise is built on participants finding love away from the distraction of physical attraction.
Instead, participants connect with and choose their partners without seeing them. Afterward, they can meet and decide whether to tie the knot.
However, Cole’s relationship with Zanab Jaffrey seemed doomed from the start. Show fans often knocked the 27-year-old realtor for his lack of emotional intelligence.
Upon leaving the pods, Cole admitted to his fiancee that he found another contestant, Colleen Reed, more attractive.
The real estate agent rated Zanab a “9 out of 10” and scored Colleen a “10 out of 10.” So naturally, this left the flight attendant feeling insecure about the relationship.
Cole further told Colleen that he found her attractive and the type of girl he’d pursue in “the real world.”
However, the ballet dancer rejected his advances and focused on her partner, Matt Bolton. An unhappy Cole also suggested to Matt that they switch partners after Zanab confronted him.

Meanwhile, Cole confessed that he found the whole experience absurd. Speaking with Us Weekly after the show, he said:
The Dallas native disclosed that the incident was out of place and character. However, he added that he didn’t feel how he projected his actions and didn’t know why he acted that way.
Cole added that he regretted hurting Zanab’s feelings during their time together and wished he could undo some things.
However, he confessed that he doesn’t regret his feelings for her and the relationships he built while in the show.
Netflix’s experiment may have failed with Cole and Zanab, but finding love is still possible for both. Hopefully, they can find their soul mates soon.
