There have been many souls-like games that have been somewhat derivative of the source material and few have carved their own identity into the gaming landscape. Lies Of P looks to be one of the latter. The action souls-like is loosely based on the story of the puppet Pinocchio, but the darker take inspires much more intrigue in this new world of automatons. And to all those awaiting the game’s release, Microsoft has confirmed before Gamescom Opening Night that Lies Of P will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Lies Of P is one of the many games from Xbox’s third-party partners that can be played at the Xbox Gamescom booth this week. The GM of Microsoft Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg tweeted an image on Tuesday that showed the Lies Of P demo station which was promoting the game as an Xbox Game Pass title.

Lies Of P Details

According to Neowize, the developer and publisher of the game, “Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action souls-like game set in a dark Belle Époque world. Guide Pinocchio on his unrelenting journey to become human.”

The developers have indicated that they plan to show off a new trailer of Lies Of P at Gamescom, where the title will officially be announced for Game Pass. Hopefully, the new trailer will show the game in action and further expand upon its world.
