It looks like fans will have longer waits between episodes this time around.

Earlier this year, the first episode of Life is Strange 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2015’s Life is Strange, was released. Episodes of the first Life is Strange came out about every two or three months, so with two months now passed since the first episode of Life is Strange 2, fans have been wondering when they might be able to expect the next episode.

In a recent developer update blog post, developer DONTNOD revealed when they expect to get the next episode out the door. They started off by explaining that they want to be able to take their time with each episode to make sure that the game is of the highest quality they can present, and due to this, the release schedule of Life is Strange 2 won’t follow the schedule of the first game, releasing episodes every two or three months. Instead, fans can expect the second episode, which will be entitled “Rules,” sometime in January 2019. It is also explained that more information about the episode will be revealed in mid-December.

A January release for the second episode means that those who have yet to play the first episode have some time to catch up if they want to. In the first episode, brothers Sean and Daniel hit the road after a tragedy throws them out of their hometown. The episode is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
