Join Max and Chloe as they return to Arcadia Bay.
We reported back in July that a Life Is Strange comic was on the way this November from Titan Comics.
Titan have brought a number of video game series to the comic book format, including Assassin’s Creed, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Tekken, Wolfenstein and even Sea of Thieves, all to pretty solid reviews. That’s a lot of video game comic goodness.
Emma Vieceli, the writer behind the comic said “Like so many players all over the world, I fell hard for Max and her story from the release of episode one, and every chapter brought more heartache, tears and emotional rollercoasters.”
The comic takes the story of Max and Chloe beyond the original as they return to Arcadia Bay after one of the possible endings from the game.
Vieceli goes on to say that “One of the wonders of the series is that every player may have taken Max and Chloe on a unique journey, and so distilling their possible futures into one mini-series is a huge thing. Importantly, as with the game, it must always be remembered that what we’re creating here is one possibility out of many. I’m excited with the story we’ve opted for, and I hope readers will be too!”
It will be interesting to see how the comic will further flesh out the world and characters created by Dontnod Entertainment, the developers of the original title. They have already expanded it through the prequel Beyond the Storm (developed by Deck Nine) and ever so subtly in their brilliant free download, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. The sequel is also on its way on the not so distant 27th of September.

The comic will be written by Emma Vieceli, illustrated by Claudia Leonardi, and colored by Andrea Izzo. Hopefully it will carry some of the unique qualities of the art direction, dialogue and color from the game and allow us to continue Max’s strange adventures through life.
