Life is Strange has always held a special place in my heart as one of my favorite games of all time. For its time, the game was groundbreaking in offering a choice-driven, narrative adventure game that completely blew its competitor Telltale Games out of the water. As such, when earlier this year Life is Strange: Remastered Collection was announced, I was overjoyed at the idea. The delay left me a little disappointed, but I was willing to wait given that I was excited as I was. Thanks to a press release from the team at Square Enix today, we now know when exactly we’re getting the game (hopefully for real this time). Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will now launch on February 1, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. It will also be backward compatible with next-gen systems. You can find the most recent trailer for the collection below.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will package both Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm into one package, with heavily enhanced visuals. Environments and character visuals have seen serious overhauls, combined with serious lighting upgrades to properly bring the world to life. Speaking of which, new fully motion-captured faces have come in to properly accentuate dialogue, helping to further the immersion of a game like this. And of course, deluxe content from Before the Storm has been thrown into the package, just in case you wanted a particular outfit for Chloe. It’s clear that this will be the new, definitive way to play Life is Strange.

If you’re looking to pre-order the Remastered Collection, or simply wish to see more details regarding what to expect, head over to the official site. The collection will be roughly $50, depending on your region and currency.
