Lily Collins has been announced as the newest addition to the cast of Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street, a true crime series in the works at Hulu. The series, produced by Charlie McDowell and Alex Orlovsky, will be focused on the true story of an infamous couple that stole over $3.6 billion in cryptocurrency from under Wall Street’s nose.

Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street will be based on a February 2022 New York Magazine article entitled “The Many Lives of Crypto’s Most Notorious Couple,” which tells the story of Heather “Razzlekhan” Morgan and Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein, an entrepreneurial couple involved in various tech and marketing setups while also running a scheme to steal over four billion in BitCoin out of their Wall Street apartment.

Lily Collins, who recently starred as the titular character in Netflix’s Emily in Paris, has been chosen to star as Heather Morgan herself, an eccentric person who New York Magazine artfully describes as “one of those many mid-career millennials living a multi-hyphenate life as an entrepreneur, CEO, investor, marketing guru, and ‘persuasion expert.’” Giving herself the name “Razzlekhan” based on her YouTube rapper alter-ego, Morgan and Russian-born tech guru Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein were experts in “the art of getting people in real life to give you what you want,” the magazine article continues.

In February 2022, the couple’s persuasion skills would finally run out when authorities raided their rented Wall Street apartment and, according to Deadline, found the couple squatting on a reported $4.5 billion in BitCoin, with $3.6 billion of that being seized by authorities as the couple faces 25 years in prison.

Behind the Scenes of ‘Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street’

In addition to starring in a lead role for the Hulu series, Lily Collins has also been announced as a producer for Razzlekhan, working alongside Charlie McDowell and Alex Orlovsky, who she previously collaborated with for Windfall (2022) on Netflix, where Collins stars opposite Jesse Plemons and Jason Segel. With the Hulu series only just now entering the first stages of development, details regarding the plot and cast – including who will be acting opposite Collins as Dutch – are being kept under lock and key, but Deadline describes the upcoming series as “a character study, a love story and crime thriller told with humor and honesty” that will follow Morgan and Lichtenstein as they navigate their relationship, their crimes, and the complicated world of technology and media in New York.

Scoop Wasserstein will be executive producing the series for Vox Media Studios and New York Magazine. Searchlight Television, whose last Hulu documentary, The Dropout, won Amanda Seyfried an Emmy Award, will also be producing the series.
