Sony has unveiled today a Gran Turismo Sport-themed PS4 that will launch along with the game this October. The console is a 1Tb PS4 Slim model and it features an elegant custom design for both the console and the Dualshock 4, consisting on a slick combination of silver and dark grey, and the Gran Turismo logo on the faceplate of the console and the touchpad of the controller.
The bundle includes a physical Day One edition of the game, which grants players with $250,000 in-game credits, livery sticker packs, a chrome racing helmet, and 60 PS4 avatars. Additionally, there will also be other bundles with the standard editions of PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. Here is the list of them:
- Jet Black PS4 1 TB edition
- Jet Black PS4 500GB edition
- Jet Black PS4 1TB + extra Jet Black DUALSHOCK 4 edition
- Jet Black PS4 Pro edition
Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi has made the announcement himself through the European PlayStation blog, where it specified that the limited edition console would release in the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australasia. This seems to suggest that the North American market will miss on this occasion, although it will probably still get the bundles with the standard Jet Black version of the console.
Recently Polyphony shared three new trailers for the game showcasing its advanced matchmaking mechanics and the VR mode.
The Limited Edition Gran Turismo Sport PlayStation 4 launches on October 18th. Check out your local retailers to know more about price and availability.
