Lindsie Chrisley has finally opened up on her feelings about her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley‘s sentencing. prior to this, Lindsie did not publicly react to the sentence given to her parents last month until recently.

How Is Lindsie Chrisley Coping With Todd And Julie’s Sentences?

The TV personality in a statement to Hollywood Life thanked her fans for their support in this trying time. Lindsie thanked all the “listeners that have reached out to me the past few weeks regarding my family.”

The reality star explained how she wanted to just get the space to process all that has happened before making any statements. The 33-year-old has been heartbroken over the updates in her parents’ case that took place last month.

The past few months have been “extremely hard” to bear for the Chrisleys amid their parents’ legal woes. Lindsie has been trying to “navigate” the process of dealing with her parents’ sentencing the best way she can. She expressed how her family is “a real family, and these are real and raw emotions.” The entertainer concluded her statement by thanking people for their love and support for her and her family.

Why Were Todd And Julie Chrisley Sentenced?

Todd and Julie Chrisley were first “indicted” in August 2019; there were some charges laid against them. Apparently, the couple had submitted fake documents to banks to secure more than $30 million in loans.

In June, a federal jury apparently found Todd and Julie guilty of “conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.”

Last month, 53-year-old Todd got sentenced to 12 years in prison and 16 months probation. Todd’s wife, 49-year-old Julie, on the other hand, got a lighter sentence of seven years in prison, and 16 months probation. The couple was sentenced to prison on the basis of “fraud and tax evasion charges.”

Because of the sentencing of Todd and Julie, the TV personalities’ shows have been canceled, due to the development. One of the shows canceled includes Growing Up Chrisley.
