2019 is shaping up to be an amazing year! The Live Action Lion King trailer has dropped! Starting off as a dark and sinister tone Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor)  is speaking with who we could only assume is Simba (Donald Glover).  Creating a balance alongside James Earl Jones own role as Mufasa. Which I don’t know about you but that just seems so right to keep James Earl Jones in this role. You clearly can identify the light and the dark and how Simba is caught in the middle of the fight.

Many of the clips you see in the trailer are parallel to the animated film from 1994. However, the new dialogue that is added only gives fans a new sensation of refreshing content. Check it out here.

By adding Beyonce to the role means Disney is creating a pop culture fan base that goes beyond Disney lovers. Ensuring the success of the film in July. If the cast doesn’t do it then the technology will. With the realistic form of all the animals in the film, you actually feel like you are on the serengeti. The movement of the camera in only the trailer has fans believing they will have a captivating and immersive experience. Add that to any number of new high tech theatres and it will definitely be an experience of a lifetime. More like a documentary than a movie really.

Captivating audiences with gentle animal surrealism while combining the humor and human qualities of the animated film. Adding this to Disney’s Live Action Campaign is a wise choice. Starting with Alice in Wonderland continues to Beauty and the Beast pushing on with Dumbo, Aladdin and now Lion King. Showing the world Disney dominates.

The battle for Pride Rock will rampage theaters July 19 this year.
