Super Rare Originals and Cuddle Monster Games have announced they will officially launch Lone Ruin on January 12, 2023. The game will be available for download to Nintendo Switch and PC owners via Steam upon its release.
What’s Coming with the Lone Ruin Launch?
Lone Ruin is a roguelike game that focuses on casting spells and is a replayable twin-stick shooter. In this game, you go on an adventure into the magical ruins in search of mysterious ancient powers. Here, you will meet and battle different monstrosities in your journey.
This game is the 2nd release to the new Indie publishing company, Super Rare Originals. Their first launch is the Grapple Dog game, an action-platformer released early in the year on PC and Switch. This game has seen a good reception and has become popular in the industry.
The Gameplay
- Corrupted City
A city with people living in harmony with magic is now driven by endless chaos. The magical powers that would sustain them have turned against them. What could be the source of the corruption in the city?
- Exploration
You are an explorer in these hostile ruins searching for an ancient power. You are also gifted in casting spells and can cleanse the city of its corruption. Make it to the center of Lone Ruin, and you’ll probably get the answers.
- Surpass challenges in the ruins
Battle your way through and kill endless dangerous creatures of the ruins to survive.
- Spells Aplenty
Select the best spells to fit your play style and help your survival. As you venture deep into the ruins, level up your spells with available upgrades and customization options.
- Overcome the Chaos
When bored with the main game, you can take on side quests in Survival mode. You’ll need to destroy enemies who get tougher throughout the battle. Also, you’ll need to beat the time on the clock in these challenges.
Next year, on January 12, Lone Ruin will be available on Steam and PC. Watch out!
