The Glaivier advanced class, also known as the Lance Master, is the newest class added during the April 21 update in Lost Ark. Glaivier is a female Martial Artist class that uses a lance to attack enemies. This guide will provide information about how to play as the Glaivier advanced class in Lost Ark.

How to Play as Glaivier in Lost Ark

The Glaivier uses her spear to dish out melee attacks using two different stances, Flurry and Focus. Similar to other classes, such as the gunslinger, you can use Z to change between each stance to change the way the character attacks. The Flurry stance allows you to attack using sweeping area-of-effect attacks, while the Focus stance allows you to use rapid hitting attacks. Each stance also comes with different skillsets, differentiated by blue and red icons.

The Glaivier also has a Dual Meter that fills up as you attack. Switching stances while your Dual meter is full will provide you with temporary buffs. There are three levels total that give different effects depending on when you switch stances and which you change to:

While the stance you use will partially depend on your playstyle and personal preference, switching between Flurry and Focus to utilize the Dual Meter buffs will help you maximize your damage output.

The Glaivier also has two Awakening Skills available for you to use after unlocking them:

  • Yeon-Style Spear Technique: Spear – Choose a location to fire your spear. After a short delay, the Glaivier will leap into the air and launch the spear towards the location, causing an explosion that damages any enemies within the attack’s radius.
  • Yeon-Style Spear Technique: Storming Red Dragon – Unleash a series of rapid-hitting attacks that damages any enemies within the radius. At the end of the attack, the Glaivier will launch herself forward, damaging and knocking back enemies.

Similar to the other classes in Lost Ark, the Glaivier has two class-specific Engravings:

  • Control: You are unable to switch to the Focus stance. However, your Flurry skills damage increases by 18/27/36% depending on the Engraving level.
  • Pinnacle: Replace Dual Meter level three with engraving-exclusive bonuses that increase in effectiveness depending on the Engravings level.

Lost Ark is available exclusively on PC. For more information regarding the game and future updates, check out the official website.
