Once you’re done with Level 50, doesn’t mean your Lost Ark adventure ends. There are various endgame content for you and your friends to plow through, and one of the toughest ones is called the Abyssal Dungeon raid. Here’s how you can unlock and beat the bosses to complete the hard-yet-satisfying Tranquil Karkosa Abyssal Dungeon in Lost Ark.

Unlocking Tranquil Karkosa Abyssal Dungeon in Lost Ark

Tranquil Karkosa is the fourth and last Lost Ark Tier 2 Abyssal Dungeon, which you will unlock after you have reached Item Level 960 and finished “Sea of Indolence” Abyssal Dungeon. Tier 2 itself refers to all content that starts at Item Level 600 and after you finish all Quests in Rohendel, Yorn, and Feiton.

You should be able to easily find the entrance to Abyssal Dungeons by looking for a gray gate and a crystal icon on your map in every major city in Arkesia. Below is the list of all Tier 2 Lost Ark Abyssal Dungeons:

  • Road of Lament: Item Level 840 | Ark of Arrogance
  • Forge of Fallen Pride: Item Level 840 | Ark of Arrogance
  • Sea of Indolence: Item Level 960 | Gate of Paradise
  • Tranquil Karkosa: Item Level 960 | Gate of Paradise

Abyssal Dungeons like Tranquil Karkosa reward you with Gold, Ability Stones, Abyssal Gear, Dungeon Currencies (Guardian’s Will, Artisan’s Faith, Elemental’s Fury, and Knight’s Oath), Card packs, Honing materials, as well as Accessories that will have one of your Class Engravings.

Grab some friends or find reliable people online if you want to give it a try since Abyssal Dungeons are tough and need good team coordination. Although you can keep retrying the boss fights in Abyssal Dungeons when you die during the fight, you won’t be able to respawn until your group either beat the boss or everyone dies. Each of your Lost Ark characters can beat an Abyssal Dungeon once a week.

Dealing with non-bosses enemies in this Abyssal Dungeon is pretty straightforward: just kill them all. However, the Gate of Paradise area features a unique Oxygen mechanic; eight players start out with an underwater suit, but a new Oxygen bar will appear over your character once you killed Orboros. You can fill the Oxygen bar by using Plants or standing on Oxygen Fissures for a while, and their locations should be indicated on your minimap. Meanwhile, there are also yellow-colored area-of-effect attacks that will deal both health and Oxygen damage.

Not to mention that Tranquil Karkosa features three bosses with different mechanics that you will need to learn properly: Kallivan of the Eroded Storm, Karkosa’s Punisher, and Karkosa Monarch Draikhan.

Kallivan of the Eroded Storm Mechanics

The first Tranquil Karkosa boss has 20 health bars and can summon annoying minions and a dangerous party wipe attack:

  • Kallivan will summon two Cursed Ghost Necromancers:
  • They will cast an invincibility shield on Kallivan.
  • The Necromancers also have a shield that can only be destroyed by Destructive Damage.
  • Sunken Pirate Ship party wipe:
  • 20 seconds after summoning Necromancers, Kallivan will start to charge up.
  • At that point, all Necromancers should be dead, and you should start attacking her for a stagger.
  • Otherwise, she will summon a Sunken Pirate Ship that deals party wipe attack.
  • Kallivan sometimes will give a random player a gun that will shoot and deals damage to anyone in a cone shape in front of the player

Karkosa’s Punisher Mechanics

Karkosa’s Punisher is the second boss of Lost Ark Tier 2 Tranquil Karkosa Abyssal Dungeon. Although also having 20 health bars, this one is much simpler than her fellow underwater bosses:

  • They will cast an invincibility shield on Kallivan.

  • The Necromancers also have a shield that can only be destroyed by Destructive Damage.

  • 20 seconds after summoning Necromancers, Kallivan will start to charge up.

  • At that point, all Necromancers should be dead, and you should start attacking her for a stagger.

  • Otherwise, she will summon a Sunken Pirate Ship that deals party wipe attack.

  • Punisher can summon a large pufferfish, Deep Sea Melanos:

  • Unless defeated, it will attack randomly and merge with Punisher to deal a huge area-of-effect one-hit KO.

  • Punisher will dash towards a random player, grabbing them, and deal huge damage to them while dishing out minor area-of-effect damage:

  • While she’s grappling your team member, you can keep dealing damage and stagger her to cancel the attack.

  • Punisher can summon four brightly-colored cones that you need to avoid. If one cone stays on a player, make sure to get away from the other teammates so it won’t deal massive damage to all party members.

  • When Punisher raises her hands, and it starts to glow blueish white, she will create a seaweed attack in a cone shape, and anyone who got hit will be imprisoned for 10 seconds. You can also hit them to free them.

  • Unless defeated, it will attack randomly and merge with Punisher to deal a huge area-of-effect one-hit KO.

  • While she’s grappling your team member, you can keep dealing damage and stagger her to cancel the attack.

Karkosa Monarch Draikhan

Karkosa Monarch Draikhan is the last boss with 20 health bars, and you should expect a tough fight ahead:

  • When hit by a water attack, you will get Waterlogging debuff for 40 seconds, lowering Movement Speed by 6% and increasing damage taken per stack.
  • When hit by electric attack, you will get Electric Shock debuff for 40 seconds, lowering Attack Power and Movement Speed by 8% per stack.
  • Draikhan can summon two Orbs that will slowly travels to the center of the arena and shoot out high-pressure water every few seconds.
  • Draikhan will roar and be shrouded in electricity. It will jump and slam to the ground twice; anyone close enough will get hit by an electric attack.
  • Draikhan can charge up air and use a breath attack that starts at the right side of its head and slowly rotates. Follow the rotation or run out to avoid it.
  • When Draikhan run to the center of the arena (at 16th and 8th health bar), it will do this:
  • Summoning Water and Electric Orbs from Cardinal (N, S, E, W) and Ordinal (NE, SE, NW, SW) directions.
  • If Draikhan was able to absorb three or more orbs, then it will unleash a party wipe attack.
  • Absorb the Orbs yourselves to prevent the one-hit KO — however, you cannot absorb two of the same color Orbs in a row.
  • At the 16th health bar, each player should start in their clock position and move clockwise.
  • At the 8th health bar, start in their clock position and keep absorbing except for the third Orb. Stay still when it spawns, then move in the clockwise motion after absorbing the third.
