Lost Ark was recently released for Founder’s Pack players. Like in many MMOs, you may find your inventory cluttered with old weapons and armor that you want to get rid of. While you may initially choose to sell your gear, you may also consider dismantling your gear instead. This guide will provide you with information on whether you should sell or dismantle old gear in Lost Ark.
Should You Sell or Dismantle Old Gear in Lost Ark?
Typically in many similar MMOs, once you stockpile a bunch of old tools and armor that you no longer want, you would travel to a merchant and sell it all. While you can also do this in Lost Ark, it is worth dismantling your old gear instead. When you dismantle gear in Lost Ark, you will receive various junk items in its place. While it may not initially seem worthwhile to get junk, it stacks in your inventory and can also be sold to vendors.
If you plan on spending a long time far away from merchants, dismantling your old equipment and gathering large amounts of junk will not only help you save inventory space but will also make you some money later on. When you return to a vendor, you can sell all the junk you got from dismantling your old gear.
To dismantle your gear, navigate to your inventory and press the dismantle button in the bottom left corner. It will appear as a hammer button to the left of your silver. Another menu will appear, prompting you to right-click or drag your items to the grid. Upon dismantling your gear, you will receive junk items such as equipment pieces and powders that you can sell to merchants for a small price.
