Tragedy Written in Stone is a Normal Roster quest you may encounter while travelling through the Rethramis Border. While venturing through the area and completing main quests, you may find a Moss-Covered Log that starts the Tragedy Written in Stone quest. This guide will give you a complete walkthrough of the Tragedy Written in Stone quest in Lost Ark.

Tragedy Written in Stone Quest Guide in Lost Ark 

To start the quest, you must find the Moss-Covered Log while fighting Gravekeeper Ghosts. While you are not guaranteed to find the log, the ghosts will likely drop one if you fight them numerous times. Once you obtain the Moss-Covered Log, go into your inventory and use it to begin the quest. The different tasks you must complete for the quest is as follows:

  • Read the Mossy Journal
  • Talk to Gravekeeper Kendal
  • Read the defaced epitaph on the coffin
  • Defeat the Gravekeeper Ghosts around the statue (0/5)
  • Put the Tormented Woman to rest
  • Find Gravekeeper Kendal

After you read the journal using F5, you will be prompted to speak to Gravekeeper Kendal. The quest marker will appear on your minimap, pointing to the bottom-right corner of the graveyard. He will tell you about the woman mentioned in the journal haunting the graveyard and task you with finding her coffin.

The next quest marker will point to the woman’s coffin and the defaced epitaph in the top-right corner of the graveyard. Head directly north from where you spoke to Kendal and follow the quest marker until you find the two coffins on a stone platform. Interact with the coffin to start the next part of the quest.

For the next task, you’re asked to kill five Gravekeeper Ghosts. While the quest marker will show you a new area near the top-left corner of the map, you can defeat the ghosts in any part of the graveyard for it to count towards the quest. However, you will also find ghosts in this new area. Heading to this area will help you find the Tormented Woman for the final part of the quest.

Once you defeat all the Gravekeeper Ghosts, head to the last quest marker towards the statue to find the Tormented Woman. In the game, you will find her as the Vengeful Spirit. She will also be accompanied by numerous Gravekeeper Ghosts who will attack you simultaneously. After defeating her, head back to Gravekeeper Kental to finish the quest. Upon completing the quest, you will obtain silver, combat XP and roster XP along with a secret map.
