What Does the Key Swallowed by Mimic Do in Lost Ark?
In Lost Ark, you can obtain the Key Swallowed by Mimic item from mimic enemies in Nevatia Ruins in Ozhorn hill. You can find Ozhorn Hill in Yudia, an early-game region near Rethramis and Luterra. While they do not spawn in groups like most regular enemies, you will occasionally find them near piles of debris and old crates lining the walls of Nevatia Ruins. The key is not a guaranteed drop from each mimic, but it does drop frequently.
While the key may seem like it leads to a secret chest or side quest, this is not the case. Instead, the Key Swallowed by Mimic currently serves no purpose aside from being sold at merchants. If you sell your Key Swallowed by Mimic, you will get one silver in return. Alternatively, you can keep it in your inventory or storage chest as a keepsake of your adventures. However, you will not unlock any secret quests or items from it, and you cannot add the key to your Adventurer’s Tome.
The Key Swallowed by Mimic is intended to add to the game’s lore rather than be used as a gameplay mechanic or a story progression item.
