In the latest update to the cast of the Netflix limited series A Man in Full, Lucy Liu has joined the series, Variety has reported. She will star with leads Jeff Daniels and Diane Lane (Y: The Last Man). Sarah Jones (For All Mankind), Tom Pelphrey (Outer Range), William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), Chanté Adams (A League of Their Own), Aml Ameen (Till Death), and Jon Michael Hill (Elementary) also star.

Lucy Liu is joining an adaption of a novel of the same name by Tom Wolfe. It comes from renowned TV producer David E. Kelly and actress Regina King (Watchmen). They will executive produce and direct. Kelly will write and serve as the showrunner of the six-episode, one-hour-long series. King will direct three episodes. Matthew Tinker and Thomas Schlamme will also executive produce.

The series will follow Atlanta-based real estate agent Charlie Croker (Daniels) as he heads for bankruptcy. He must defend what he has from those who want to take advantage for their own gain. Lucy Liu plays Joyce Newman, the founder of her own clean beauty company. She faces a problem that threatens both her business and relationships.

Later this year, Lucy Liu will star in Strange World with Jake Gyllenhaal this November. This December, she will play a villain with Helen Mirren in Shazam! Fury of the Gods as they go toe-to-toe with Zachary Levi and his family of superheroes. She will join Tim Blake Nelson (Nightmare Alley) and Nathan Alexis (Resident Alien) for The Invisibles. The actress will lend her voice to the animated series Exploding Kittens with Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Mark Proksch (What We Do in the Shadows), and Ally Maki (Toy Story 4).
