Bravo’s Summer House has gained a lot more popularity over the last few seasons, showcasing a non-stop party house in the Hamptons rented by a friend group of New York professionals every summer. However, season five seemed to cause a lot of tense friction amongst the cast as they quarantined together last season for several weeks. Even more contemptuous than the season itself, the two-part reunion provides a summit of explosive fights and an avalanche of tension being released as issues both on and off the show finally come to a head.
Fans witnessed some heavy back-and-fourth flamethrowing during last week’s part one of the reunions, but it’s the second half of the season five bookend that’s really kept fans on their toes. The juicy promo for part two of the reunion includes several snippets that look exciting, but Luke Gulbranson takes the cake when he addresses something completely out of the left-field: “There’s something I want to clear up and I’m clearly going to break the fourth wall here and I apologize, but this is something I have… I have to say.” As we see shocked faces across the board, Hannah Berner storms off stage clearly upset about Luke’s bombshell, which could easily involve her since the two have a complicated “relationship” which took a turn for the worse this season.

Sophie candidly shared details of her budding DM relationship with Summer House‘s Amanda Batula, revealing “she assured me that it is not an under-strict, it actually is a bombshell. She says that she has mixed feelings about what Luke said and that she would’ve stormed off also if she were Hannah, that’s how like–” Ryan cut her off in excitement, following with: “for her to admit that and still be critical of Hannah that means it really is something bad!” Sophie gave her take on what’s to come, saying “my prediction is that, um, Luke says that he basically, you know, played up his feelings for her because of the show producers.” This sparked the duo to bring up gossip regarding Hannah supposedly sleeping with a producer while newcomer Ciara Miller is rumored to be dating one as well– though there’s no evidence supporting these claims.
“Bravo is so protective of fourth wall s***,” Ryan reminded Sophie, giving some behind-the-scenes insight into his recent interview with OG cast member Lindsay Hubbard and their light discussion about the crew feeling like family, a seemingly harmless and positive conversation, but Ryan says, “they make me always cut out the stuff with production.” Which begs the question– why did Bravo choose to air this “bombshell” rather than leave it on the cutting room floor? “I know that they don’t like it so the fact they would let that air on the reunion… I’m just curious,” Ryan also ponders.
We could speculate on Luke’s reveal until we’re blue in the face, but luckily we will finally have all the answers we’re looking for tonight as season five concludes with Summer House: Reunion Part II, airing on Bravo at 10:15/9:15c.
