Quiver Distribution has announced today that Lulu Wilson will be returning in Becky 2: The Wrath of Becky, a sequel to the thriller film Becky, released in 2020. Seann William Scott will be joining Wilson as a newcomer to the franchise, playing the new antagonist Darryl.
Becky, a horror-thriller film released in June 2020, features Lulu Wilson (The Haunting of Hill House) as the titular Becky Hooper, a thirteen-year-old girl whose mother has passed away, leading to a tense relationship with her father Jeff, played by Joel McHale (Community). To reconnect with his daughter, Jeff invites Becky on a vacation to their lakefront home, where he plans to announce his engagement to his girlfriend Kayla (Amanda Brugel), but their vacation plans are interrupted by the surprise arrival of an escaped gang of criminals including neo-Nazi Dominick (Kevin James), Apex (Robert Maillet), Cole (Ryan McDonald), and Hammond (James McDougall).
The gang breaks into the family’s home looking for a key, which a previously escaped Becky had already found; when the family tries to lie about Becky’s whereabouts, Dominick tortures and kills Jeff. This leads Becky to gouge Dominick’s eye out with the key and escape again, later brutally killing Cole, Hammond, and Apex with a sharp ruler, a boat motor, and a gunshot to the head respectively. Becky, Kayla, and Kayla’s son Ty (Isaiah Rockcliffe) all survive the encounter and are later questioned by police, where Becky says she doesn’t remember the gang’s deaths.
