Co-Stars Pay Tribute To Adama Niane After Confirming Him Dead
Film director Oliver Abbou disclosed the news of Adama’s death on Instagram, describing the late star as a hero while reminiscing on their four years working together. He wrote:
He proceeded to describe the star as “engaged, lit, whole, talented and powerful,” also labeling him as his “hero, friend and accomplice.” He concluded by bidding him a peaceful farewell as he exited the world.

Lupin co-star Omar Sy also addressed the news, expressing how saddened he was that a “man of rare benevolence” like Adama Niane, whom he had the privilege to co-star with, wound up dead. He also extended condolences to Adama’s family and loved ones. Adama Niane’s cause of death remains unconfirmed.
The actor made a name for himself playing assassin Leonard Kone in the French Drama Lupin, which became a hit following its 2021 release. He also landed major roles in movies like Get In and Baise-Moi, making him a household name in the last decade. Before he was confirmed dead, Adama Niane last appeared as Yannick Lantry in the TV mini-series L’lle au 30 Cercurils, released in 2022.
