HDIVE announced that it would begin streaming the English dub of Made In Abyss season 2 (The Golden City of the Scorching Sun). As of now, it is already confirmed that the English dub actors from the first season are reprising their roles for season 2 (including main characters Brittany Lauda as Riko and Luci Christian as Reg). Kyle Colby is directing the English dub and writing the script along with Marta Bechtol.
Made In Abyss and Season 2: The Fantasy Anime of the Season
Made In Abyss is based 0n the titular manga by Akihito Tsukushi. Currently, the story is described as:
“The story revolves around an enormous pit and cave system called the “Abyss”. It currently serves as the only unexplored place in the world and serves as home to many strange creatures. The mysteries of the Abyss fascinate the humans, and they have chosen to explore them as the title of “Cave Raider”. A little orphan girl named Riko lies in the town of Orth on the edge of the Abyss. Her dream is to become a Cave Raider like her mother and solve the mysteries of the cave system. one day, Riko starts exploring the caves and discovers a robot who resembles a human boy named Reg.”
Now, the description of Made In Abyss is described as:
“There is no going back for Riko Reg, and Nanachi . They have passed the point of no return and the surface is out of reach. Now, Riko’s only way forward is to the bottom of the Abyss. What happened to all the other explorers who braved the deepest layers of the Abyss and were never heard of again? The trio are about to find out.”
The Made In Abyss season 2 dub will be available on August 31st at 12:30 a.m. EDT. The subtitled version and the dub of the first season can be found on HDIVE’s official website.
