Fellow cultured anime enthusiasts and JRPG lovers, it is time to rejoice! The highly-praised Made in Abyss will have its long-awaited video game adaption released in 2022. The game is being developed by none other than the renowned creators of the critically acclaimed Danganronpa series, Spike Chunsoft. Titled as Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness, the Action RPG will release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

Made in Abyss was originally a fantasy manga created in 2012 that is still ongoing to this day. It later went on to become an anime television series, its first season airing in 2017. Made in Abyss also recently announced on Twitter that a second season is on the way in 2022. The story follows an adventurous young girl named Riko and a mysterious robot boy Reg as they embark on a perilous journey into the depths of the Abyss in search of Riko’s long-lost mother. The combination of a dark yet impactful storyline, gentle art style, and sublime soundtrack created a masterpiece that captured the hearts of many fans.
