The Black Mask Magazines are one of many collectibles to find in Mafia: Definitive Edition. Yet with this collectible, it’s actually easier to find them all by going into Free Roam mode rather than trying to find them as you progress through the story. Free Roam is accessible from the main menu after you’ve completed the first chapter of the game.
Like the Dime Detective magazines, on the minimap, once you are close to one, a colored icon will appear on it - this will give you a better location area to find it! All the magazines are found all over the map, and this guide will give you them in chronologic order from number 1 to 20. So here’s how to find all 20 Black Mask Magazines locations!
Black Mask Magazine Locations
Black Mask Magazine #1: The Scarlet Fox
This magazine is located in Jayhawk Bluff, next to the Two Hatch Pond. South of this pond is only a couple of buildings. Next to a wooden table is the first magazine in the southernmost part of this area.
Black Mask Magazine #2: Race Williams Never Bluffs
This magazine is located Downtown. South of St. Michael’s Church in an alleyway next to a trash bin is the second magazine.
Black Mask Magazine #3: The Farewell Murder
The third magazine is located in Oakwood, on top of a grill in someone’s back garden.
Black Mask Magazine #4: Soft City
The fourth magazine is located in Works Quarter. On the west side of the harbor, in front of the entrance, is a telephone box next to a bin, this is where this magazine is located.
Black Mask Magazine #5: The Flame
The fifth magazine is located in Little Italy. In an alley on the east side of this area, in the entrance of a doorway.
Black Mask Magazine #6: A New Story of MacBride of Richmond City
The sixth magazine is located in the Works Quarter, inside the Federal Customs Impound, right next to a few trash cans.
Black Mask Magazine #7: Walking Dynamite
The seventh magazine is found in Oakwood, in the south-west corner, right before Downtown. Next to Saint Paul Coast, the magazine can be found next to a bench along the promenade.
Black Mask Magazine #8: The Deal
The eighth magazine can be found once again next to a few trash bins on Central Island, west of Guiliani Bridge, outside of an outdoor restaurant.
Black Mask Magazine #9: Red Jade
The ninth magazine is located in Beech Hill, in the north-western corner, close to a picnic table in an area of picnic tables.
Black Mask Magazine #10: Save Your Tears
The tenth magazine is found in Chinatown, in an area called Robison Park. This area is the small island south of Terranova Bridge. Go to the southern edge of this area, and the magazine can be found.
Black Mask Magazine #11: A Woman Can Kill
The eleventh magazine is located in North Park, next to good old Pepe’s Restaurant. In an alley to the east of this eatery is where this magazine is.
Black Mask Magazine #12: Stag Party
The twelfth magazine is right next to Lansom Stadium in Holbrook. Head to the east-wing of the stadium, and the magazine is yours.
Black Mask Magazine #13: Hunch
The thirteenth magazine is once again in Holbrook, in the north-west corner of this area. There’s a tiny alley that has the magazine right next to some garbage cans.
Black Mask Magazine #14: Death By Appointment
The fourteenth magazine is located at the entrance of Heaven Art Gallery on Central Island. And you guessed it right next to a bench and a trashcan.
Black Mask Magazine #15: Race Williams in Six Have Died
The fifteenth magazine is almost dead center on Central Island. West of Moulton’s City Theater, under a newspaper stand to the west.
Black Mask Magazine #16: A Crashing G Man Story
The sixteenth magazine is located at the Autodrome, which is a little ways south of the letter J in Jayhawk Bluff. Head to the left side entrance, and you’ll find the magazine, be careful as it’s pretty camouflaged with some other paperwork scattered next to a bin.
Black Mask Magazine #17: Red Death
The seventeenth magazine is located in an alleyway to the north of Hotel Corleone. Or directly east of the area called the Waterfront. You’ll find it next to a chance on the first step of some stairs leading up.
Black Mask Magazine #18: No Hard Feelings
The eighteenth magazine is found at the entrance of the Moulton’s City Theater on Central Island, next to a bench.
Black Mask Magazine #19: Murder Goes to Market
The nineteenth magazine is in the area called Little Italy. Head to the east side of Salieri’s Bar, and underneath a chair next to a stall selling fresh produce is the magazine.
Black Mask Magazine #20: Flaming Angel
The twentieth magazine is located in Oakwood in the city cemetery. Head to the north-central of the oval pathway, and next to a bench is the last magazine!
