Super Smash Bros. has been out a little over a week and a half now for the Wii U and has earned much critical acclaim in that time. With tons of variety and new features, gamers just can’t get enough of it, but sadly it appears a major error has hit some players that has done major damage to their Wii U consoles.
According to Nintendo Life, some owners of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U are experiencing error code 160-0103, which is not only breaking the game but consoles as well. Said to be appearing at random for some gamers after exiting For Glory mode and then starting their system again, this problem appears to be tied to the system memory in some way.
After getting the error, everything on the console is accessible and workable except for Super Smash Bros. and the data management screen. When trying to access data management, error code 160-1710 will pop up. This has led to a number of problems, including console memory wiping or outright bricking by trying to do a full system format, as the console will recommend upon getting the error.
This error is hopefully very sporadic and won’t affect your experience, but be very careful if you do get it and hopefully we will see a patch sooner rather than later to address this issue.
