We first got a glimpse of the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL during last week’s Nintendo Direct to the delight of Zelda fans. However, in that time it has been near impossible to grab a copy of the limited edition system, largely due to scalpers. From GameStop, Best Buy, Target, and most recently Fry’s, most had no luck due to the constrained time periods, particularly with Target. The great news is that gamers have another chance right now that is lasting longer than most, with more web in-store pre-orders at GameStop.

As was available on the first day the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL was announced on the Direct, GameStop allowed customers to pre-order the handheld in store through the web. As of a few hours ago, certain GameStop stores started offering more of these web in-store pre-orders, as pointed out by the forum on CAG. The key different from their usual pre-orders however is that you must pay up front and it will be shipped to your house, which does certainly help to keep scalpers from buying so many.

Those who do buy it in store can opt for free shipping or one day shipping for only an additional $15.50. Depending on local taxes, you will be paying somewhere around $230 total with taxes and one day shipping if you so choose.

I can attest that this exists, as I just went to my local GameStop and was able to do exactly that, though some online are reporting their stores did not open more up today. Based on the first reports, this latest round of WIS pre-orders has lasted over three hours, so if you are interested, you better give them a call to see if they have any and head to your local store very soon, as these are likely going to be gone very soon.
