Maneater, Tripwire’s shark RPG, arrives on PC on Friday, May 22. If you’ve been keeping tabs on this game for a while, you’ll undoubtedly be eager to chomp on some humans and buy it day one.

Before you go and pre-order it from the Epic Games Store, you’ll need to know what PC system requirements you need to run it. Like any other PC title, there are the minimum and recommended specifications that it’s worth bearing in mind. There’s no point buying the game if your computer can’t run it.

We’re here to help, then, and show you what specs you need to run it at the minimum and recommended settings.

Maneater minimum system requirements

  • Operating system (OS) – Windows 10Processor – Intel Core i5-5300uMemory – 8 GB RAMHard drive (HD) space – 20 GBDirectX – Version IIGraphics card – Intel HD 5500

As you can see, you’ll have to own the latest version of Windows to be able to run Maneater. If you’re using Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, you won’t be able to play it properly. The game won’t take up too much space on your SSD, but you’ll have to have the required memory, processor, graphics card, and DirectX version to play it.

  • Operating system (OS) – Windows 10Processor – Intel Core i7-3770 /AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or higherMemory – 8 GB RAMHard drive (HD) space – 20 GBDirectX – Version IIGraphics card – Nvidia GeForce GTX 970/AMD Radeon R9 390 or higher

To play Maneater at its optimum, the only differences from the minimum specs are the processor and graphics card you own. Having a better graphics card will allow you to play in HD or 4K – depending on your monitor – while your computer’s processor will help the game to run smoothly.

Most high-end gaming computers will have the recommended specs to play Maneater. It’s worth finding out what your actual specs are if you don’t know, however, before you go and pre-order or buy the game. We wouldn’t want you to be disappointed that you can’t play it on release day after all.
