Most of The Suicide Squad fan art posted includes Harley Quinn, Peacemaker, Bloodsport, King Shark, Polka Dot Man, and many of the other anti-heroes introduced. Manga Magaura RE shared two new pieces of fanart for the movie. The first one is by mangaka Takahashi Noboru(Mogura no Uta), while the second one is by Junya Inoe (Btoom!).

The Praise for The Suicide Squad

With the movie premiering on HBO Max and theaters, it was shown to be a hit with both fans and critics. It soon became one of the most-watched movies on the streaming platform. Even though it failed to reach the same box office numbers as its predecessor, it received much better scores and reviews.

This isn’t the first time the Suicide Squad has made a film debut. The group of villains has also appeared in the two animated films, Batman: Assault on Arkham and Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay. The most widely praised adaptation, however, is James Gunn’s version. The film managed to have a “Certified Fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes before its US release. It is also the second highest-rated DC EU film on the website, just after Wonder Woman.

Most recently, fans of 2016’s Suicide Squad petitioned for the release of the “Ayer Cut” again. Due to a released image of Harley and Deadshot, fans have brought the petition back into circulation. This is due to the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League prompting David Ayer to call for his original vision of the film rather than the heavily edited version that was released in theaters.

Regarding James Gunn’s version, there are no expectations of a sequel in the near future. However, a Peacemaker series is currently in the works for a 2022 release.
