In the Maquette, you typically find yourself fiddling and messing with new mechanics. The Escape chapter is no different, but the pathing for this level is linear and a little easier to follow than the previous chapters you’ve played through.
You’ll start The Escape by walking down the dark green street toward the palace at the other end. Proceed down the stairs, and when you arrive on the other end, you’ll realize you’re smaller and looking up at the dark green street from a miniaturized angle. Another section of the street reappears as you walk further forward, directing you to follow the left path.
You need to continue down the path and follow the street. There are no turns, routes, or puzzles you need to manage. All you have to do is follow the path and read the floating text as it appears. The buildings’ windows start to shift from a dull black to a sharp red as you continue down the path.
Continue down the path until you reach an elevator with a switch inside of it. Hit the switch, and you’ll drop down, and find yourself in the middle of several brown cracks. You need to follow the path, and look from the broken building piece on the ground.
There will be a red orb next to it that you need to grab.
You have to use the orb to walk through the rock blocking your path. The ground of the route will also have yellow lines now that you can follow. These yellow marks are scattered all over, but they give you a path to follow. If you’re lost, keep going, and look for the yellow patterns on the ground to guide you.
Eventually, you’ll reach a cliff that you have to fall, and at the entrance of another passage will be several yellow marks. Drop down to the entrance, and follow the yellow dots.
There are a few routes to the side of the passage you’re following that can lead you to alternative ways, but they’re dead ends. You want to stick to the path with the yellow marks and always hold the red orb to see them.
When a specific passage of floating text appears talking about removing a ring, you’ll drop down again. You want to keep to the path on the left, and you’ll find yourself blocked by a large red wall. You need to use the orb to view through this passage and walk through it.
This will be the final puzzle of this area, and you can follow the path to reach the exit, which should be a large, white light.
