Mario Golf: Super Rush is a sports game where Mario and his his pals compete in standard play and more game modes like Speed Golf and Battle Golf. Players should be excited to know that Nintendo included local co-op and online multiplayer in the company’s latest party game.

Up to four players can tee off together in Mario Golf: Super Rush locally or online. From Mario to Bowser to King Bob-omb, there are 16 playable characters to choose from, each of which boast unique stats and special shot abilities.

The standard golf game mode is available, but for more chaotic, party-centric fun there is Speed Golf and Battle Golf. In Speed Golf, all four players tee off at the same time and race to be the first to complete the course. During the match there are obstacles to overcome, including your competitors who will have Special Shots and additional character abilities at their disposal. Battle Golf is a tournament mode set on one course where the first player to claim three flags wins the match.

For online play, all users must have a Nintendo Switch Online membership which is offered at multiple subscription tiers. Local cooperative play supports TV mode, Tabletop mode, and Handheld mode.

Mario Golf: Super Rush comes out on June 25, available on the Nintendo Switch.
