Adding badges requires that you’ve completed challenges.
From any screen press outside of a race you press the Menu button at the bottom of the screen and then select Challenges. Once on the challenges screen you will be able to scroll through all of the different challenges and the ones that you’ve completed will have badges available. Simply tap on the badge and then select to display the badge to add it as your display badge. You will see the yellow tab at the top of the screen as you highlight new badges saying to “Display Badge”.

Getting new badges is tied to completing specific challenges. So, if you want more badges you simply have to complete the challenge associated with a specific badge. However, if you’re just starting out with Mario Kart Tour you will find that you do not have access to the Challenges section until you’ve completed seven cups.
Once the challenges are available you can browse through them and tackle them to unlock the badge as well as unique rewards for completing all challenges on a page.
To change a badge, simply highlight a new challenge badge and then select to display that badge.
