Mario fans need not wait any longer because Mario Party Superstars is now officially available on Nintendo Switch. The more exciting news is that our hero Mario is not coming solo because the newly released game comes loaded with 100 super enjoyable mini-games, five iconic gameboards, and some cool multiplayer modes. The release is also special for fans because more than two years have passed since the last Mario party game, Super Mario Party arrived on Switch.
As far as the initial reviews are concerned, the second Mario party game has managed to score some impressive ratings from websites like IGN and Nintendo Insider. In its latest review, IGN hailed Mario Party Superstars as the best Mario party game ever made.
The announcement trailer for the game came out in June revealing that besides the modern colorful appeal, Mario Party Superstars will incorporate almost all the classic Mario elements. This party remake has minigames that come straight from the GameCube era and the board games collection is taken from Nintendo 64. If you grew up playing the adventures of Mario, then Mario Party Superstars will make you feel nostalgic. You are going to see remastered maps in this version from the first two Mario party games that were originally released in the late 90s.
Moreover, there is Peach’s Birthday Cake, which first appeared in 1998’s Mario Party, and surprisingly, the rulesets for board games in the Mario party pack have not changed in the last 22 years. About the online play, Nintendo has confirmed in the description that all the modes in-game could be played online.
Mario Party Superstars has been ranked among the most awaited Nintendo Switch games of October 2021, and the game can now be purchased digitally for $59.99 on the Nintendo website.
