Nintendo Switch exclusive Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle debuts in the UK at number 2 of the All Formats list, a good result that however was not enough to dethrone Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which spends a second week at the top. Ubisoft’s crossover of the Mario and Rabbids franchises comes preceded by good reviews and an intense promotional campaign. The title is a turn-based strategy game which some have compared to the X-COM series, a concept that on paper doesn’t seem to fit in the Mario universe, but apparently Ubisoft has made it work.
As we approach to the end line of the summer season, new game releases are more frequent each week, with other entries in the top 10 include Everybodys’s Golf at number 6, Ark: Survival Evolved at number 7, and Yakuza Kiwami at number 8. That implies that PS4 exclusives accounted for 50% of the top 10 best sellers.
Other new entries beyond the top 10 are Dead Alliance at number 39, and Resident Evil Revelations for PS4 and Xbox One at number 40.
