A familiar face has found his way to the world of AFK Arena – and it’s not who you might initially think.
In a surprising twist in the gaming world, YouTuber Markiplier now appears as an NPC in the popular RPG mobile game AFK Arena.
The 31-year-old comedian is present as an inn barkeeper in the town of Ranhorn’s Noble Tavern. According to Lilith Games’ press release, he replaces Dolly, who is taking “a well-earned break” while Markiplier fills in.
Markiplier has been faithfully recreated using the distinctive AFK Arena art style. He now looks like a wacky cartoony caricature of his real self. And if his likeness isn’t enough, his voice is also present, allowing players to “hear the YouTube sensation providing valuable words of support to fire them up for battle.”

This amusing trailer features a seemingly paranoid, delusional Markiplier ranting about the game spliced up with footage from AFK Arena. At the end of said video, Markiplier laughs about the trailer’s irrelevance to the actual game and asks fans to download it to convince Lilith Games that his trailer convinced them to.
AFK Arena is unique among RPGs in that it allows you to grind when not playing. Rewards and EXP are earned even when you’re offline, saving you precious hours of the day. New quests, events, and characters are frequently added, making the experience even more diverse and engaging for regular players.
