Hoping for even more Marvel series based on your favorite characters? If so, you may be in luck! Marvel has announced that at least two other shows are in the works to go alongside Ghost Rider and Helstrom. All titles will be a wider project called Adventure into Fear, named after the Marvel Comic of the same name published in the 1970s.

Adventure into Fear Details

Coming off the heels of the news that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is ending soon, Marvel TV executive Jeph Loeb told Deadline that the four shows will all connect. He also said that he sees the projects as “terror” rather than “horror”. Instead of gratuitous blood and gore, Adventure into Fear shows will explore the struggles with public and personal perceptions. The protagonists will have to fight their inner demons and realize they can be a force for good instead of simply monsters.

Jeph Loeb confirmed that “there were three or four shows that” could fall under the Adventure into Fear banner. After Netflix canceled all Marvel shows on their platform, Loeb went to another interested party: Hulu. Loeb said that people from the streaming distributor were excited about developing some of Marvel’s more “scary” characters. A few details have been released about the two previously announced series Ghost Rider and Helstrom. Loeb says that Gabriel Luna, the actor who portrayed Robbie Reyes on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., is reprising his role for Ghost Rider. The only information released for Helstrom is that the show will involve the title character and his sister, Anna.

Adventure into Fear joins a plethora of other Marvel Hulu series. The live-action Runaways released its second season near the end of 2018. Hulu CEO Randy Freer revealed in May that four animated Marvel shows are also in the works. Howard the Duck, Hit-Monkey, Tigra and Dazzler, and MODOK are all currently in development for the streaming platform.
