To be Savage is to be human, which is Ironic on some cases for our newest Marvel Team. The Savage Avengers! The original comic released this week and is turning heads! The criteria for the team is ruthless, slash first ask questions later. The vibe that sometimes you have to get your hands dirty, which a lot of readers can relate. Those feelings of wanting to lose self-control and fix the issue and solve the problem. Whatever it takes. It gets in your skin, delicious rage. Characters like, Wolverine, The Punisher and Venom are a central part of the team. It would be fantastic to see this as a movie saga.

The beginning of the book opens up with abduction of an opera singer. His final destination is a new place unseen in the Marvel Universe, The Savage Land. Makes sense to provide balance for the truly, brutal and ruthless you need a vicious team that does for the good of the world. Personally, My favorite part in the new book is the particularly barbaric fight scene between Wolverine and Crom. Both from periods in the world that encouraged savagery to survive.

However it isn’t just brawn and rage that drive the book, there is also black magic and of course, whats a Marvel comic without some science. We are introduced to the supernatural by Dr.Voodoo.  A notorious character for doing his dirty work with a certain mystical charm. Meaning an attitude that would either enrage you or make you go weak at the knees. A feeling most of the Dr.Voodoos companions tend to give physically. The Punisher could is one of those. The ability to make his victims tremble in fear or through his excessive violence. The writers are looking forward to a long and successful series. Savage Avengers will transform its aggression to defend. The next issue is sure to be a great one!
