Marvel Future Revolution is an open-world role-playing mobile game from netmarble. The first glimpse of the new title was shown towards the end of PAX East over the weekend. The trailer offers up glimpses of what’s to come, as it looks like once again, our heroes must come together for a larger conflict. Surprisingly the main focus of the trailer was one part the larger conflict and another part alternate costumes? These are seriously some of the most off the wall (no pun intended there Spiderman) costumes we’ve seen from our heroes. The context given is it looks like Doctor Strange is calling on other Earths from alternate universes for help. This would likely make sense as it not only gives us endless potential cool new costumes but also a storyline to explain why.
Marvel Future Revolution’s Costumes Look Pretty
Despite alternate costumes being an odd focus for a trailer, I have to say, they’re fantastic! I can’t get over how cool the black costume with red eyes of Captain Marvel looks. Don’t worry; we’ve posted a video below that shows off some of the sweet alternate costumes. The other oddity of this is the game is currently only featuring four characters. Spiderman, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Captain America. I have no doubt there will be many playable superheroes from across the Marvel Universe, but for now, those four are the focus.
Additionally, what’s with the revolution portion of Marvel Future Revolution? Yes, it’s in the title, but Captain America’s narration also hits on the revolution. Is it possible some of our heroes are locked away? Fingers crossed for more details to come.
We also get location looks. It seems Earth will not be the only place where the fighting takes place; it seems the open world. Despite this currently, we see a lot of Sakaar, inevitably there will be many other locations throughout the Marvel Universe, but where?
We also have a look at a couple of featured villains: the Red Skull, Baron Mordo, MODOK Green Goblin, and Red Goblin.
