Marvel has released the second trailer for its next film, Captain Marvel. You can see that trailer down below:

The trailer was filled with a lot more to chew on compared to the one given a few months ago. There was a lot to delve into here from Nick Fury getting the rundown on everything happening with the Skrulls to Carol’s loss of memory.

What could set Captain Marvel apart from other Marvel films is its setting and place in time. As a more cosmic film, Captain Marvel isn’t restricted to Earth. Its 1990s setting helps with this as it the movie doesn’t have to precisely line-up with Avengers: Infinity War or any of the other Marvel Cinematic Universe titles. It can do its own thing and leave the ending/post-credits scene to really tie everything together.

We also got our first real look at Jude Law’s character. Although we may still not know who his character is, it seems that he won’t be playing an overly heroic role.

Marvel fans stay tuned. This Captain Marvel trailer may have been great but there may be more to come shortly. Rumors have been spreading online about an Avengers 4 trailer dropping later in the week to accompany this Captain Marvel trailer. These rumors should be taken with a grain of salt but seeing as Carol Danvers will be crucial to the plot of Avengers 4, it isn’t too far fetched to think that the two trailers could release in the same week.

Captain Marvel will star Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Clark Gregg, Djimon Hounsou, Annette Bening, Gemma Chan, Lee Pace, and many others.

You can see Captain Marvel in theaters March 8th, 2019.
