Iconic Marvel stories are getting a second chance at life in the upcoming Marvel Remasterworks. These are new printings of the early Marvel Masterworks collections, which collected classic Marvel stories in one place. These new books include improved restoration and expanded bonus material on the comics that made the Marvel Universe everything it is today.

What to Expect From Marvel Remasterworks

The Marvel Masterworks collection, which encompasses over 330 volumes, brought together al the iconic stories that made Marvel a household name. The Remasterworks series will bring those collections back, along with some new extras. They include scans of the original art, essays and covers from other collections of the material, house ads, creator bios, and much more. Now, you can read the stories that shaped iconic characters and built the worlds we are all familiar with.

Which Collection is Up First?

Kicking things off in May of 2023, the first Marvel Remasterworks begins with Marvel Masterworks: The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1. This collection showcases iconic Marvel stories that made Spider-Man a popular household name. Included in the volume is the original artworks scan from Spider-Man’s debut in Amazing Fantasy (1962) #15.

After Spider-Man, Marvel’s first super family, the Fantastic Four, is getting the Remaster treatment. In June, Marvel Masterworks: The Fantastic Four Vol. 1 debuts. This will show the origins of the Fantastic family and how they grew to be a staple in the Marvel Universe. Next up is everyone’s favorite group of mutants, the X-Men. Marvel Masterworks: The X-Men Vol. 1 hits shelves in July of next year. Fans of the mutant heroes will not want to miss this collection of original artwork and debut stories.

Those who missed these iconic collections the first time around have the opportunity to grab these must-have collector items. However, Marvel only has plans for a single printing of each volume so don’t hesitate to nab one of these pieces of Marvel history.
