Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered 1.1014.0.0 Update Patch Notes

Insomniac Games has shortened the intervals for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered updates. That’s why do not expect major features and changes from the latest patch. The update fixes an issue caused by version 1.1011.1.0, released a few days ago.

Release Notes

  • Reverted a change that could cause a GPU crash on startup on older Windows 10 versions.

Here is Insomniac Games’ statement about the latest update:

”This update contains a fix for an issue that was introduced with the patch we released on the 12th of October. Changes made in that version could result in GPU crashes on systems with Windows 10 build 19042 (20H2) and older. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.”

Known Issues and Ongoing Investigations

Shadow issues on AMD Polaris GPUs

  • Some players with certain AMD Radeon GPUs experience visual issues with shadows and sunlight in the game. AMD is aware of and investigating.

Achievements not unlocking

  • Some players have reported that some game achievements did not unlock correctly for them. So far, we have not found a cause in the game for this issue, and we have not received similar reports recently.

Laptop performance

  • Some players on laptops with NVIDIA GPUs are reporting significantly lower performance than what would be expected from their hardware. We are investigating this potential issue together with NVIDIA.

Intel XeSS image quality

  • Intel is aware of some graphical artifacts that can occur while using XeSS. Intel is investigating these issues and working on improving image quality in future versions.

Ambient Occlusion on Intel ARC GPUs

  • When Ambient Occlusion is disabled or set to HBAO+ on Intel ARC GPUs, the image will appear overly dark. Intel is aware of this issue and working on a driver update to resolve this. We recommend players to use SSAO for now.
