Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has been here since August and continues to inflict pain on players with interesting PC mods. While players suffered with weird mods like Uncle Ben’s gravestone, Saul Goodman from Better Call Saul, and Kermit the Frog until now, that seems to have changed. New mods released in the last few weeks change the way Spidey looks but keep him within the spider concept. The new PC mod has been released, making Spider-Ham playable in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Lets You Play as Spider-Ham

Spider-Ham (Peter Porker) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is an anthropomorphic pig and is a cartoon animal parody version of Spider-Man. He was created by editor Larry Hama, Tom DeFalco, and Mark Armstrong. Thanks to modders, now he is in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. 

A Redditor named ”jjarack” posted images of Spider-Ham being inserted into Marvel’s Spider-Man through a mod. The pictures show that the costume of the character in the animated films was copied. More images can be seen in jjarack’s original Reddit post.

Unofficial PC mods like this do not fundamentally change the gameplay. The characters may look different but basically have Spidey’s abilities. Same for Spider-Ham. Besides that, it does not change Peter Parker’s voice, and it does not change Peter Parker’s name in the story. You’ll be protecting New York City from the bad guys with Spider-Ham, but basically, he’s a modified Peter Parker.
