Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has announced, among a plethora of news, that What If? will focus on alternate stories from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ‘Infinity Saga’. For those who do not know, Marvel’s What If? is a show coming to Disney+ that explores alternate stories.

The concept of the show comes from the comic book series of the same name. What If? is a format through which Marvel writers can explore other possible outcomes to their comic events. First premiering in 1977, the series has gone through various volumes and standalone issues up to October 2018.

Marvel’s What If? To Feature MCU Actor Voiceovers

In these stories, Uatu the Watcher, a being who belongs to a race where each member observes a certain universe, is the narrator. The show will be produced in an animated format, with many MCU stars reprising their roles. Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, and Samuel L. Jackson are just a few of the actors who will return to voice their iconic characters. One newcomer to join will be Jeffrey Wright, who will voice Uatu himself. A previously confirmed story by Feige will have Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter. The episode will explore what might have happened if she had received the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers.
